A beautiful art deco pocket watch from the 1940s is the focus of this piece. The watch crystal is a bit yellowed from age, and the pocket watch no longer works, but its still makes a lovely statement across your chest. I've added three Victorian skeleton keys and a 1920s smoky chandelier prism to tell my story. Its on a gun metal chain with a silver lobster clasp.

"I am in loooove with this new piece!! My favorite pieces have always been those with a message, a little bit of attitude or lot to look at. This piece has all three. This is part of my new line of domestic protest pieces, look for more in my shop and more to come.

I don't know about you but there are just some days I feel like boycotting mundane household chores...on those days I usually make jewelry instead. :-) The other day I was pulling apart a hanger to use as a household tool and I was inspired.

This piece was handcrafted from sterling silver and has been oxidized to darken the silver and bring out the details. The "charms" have been soldered in place, I decided to make them look like they were free flowing but to solder them in place to make sure the message was always prominent.

Wouldn't this make a cute gift for a new bride?? ....like a cute little inside joke between friends.

The pendant measures 2 1/2" long and hangs on a 19" sterling silver chain which uses a hand made hook and eye style closure."

"This is a print of an original painting. The print measures 8.5" x 11", although the actual image size is about 5.5" x 6". I use Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper, an acid free, all cotton watercolor paper with a parchment surface and special coating for excellent image sharpness and optimum color gradation.

But all this minutae is neither here nor there. It doesn't tell you what you really need to know about this paper, which is that I would use some to line a nest and bear my young in it. And the first word out of my baby's mouth would be Hahnemühle. Then I'd slip a piece of it into my pocket, and when no one was looking, I would take it out and we'd gaze at each other for hours. And I would start talking to my paper, telling it all kinds of stuff, I mean I would really let it into my mind. We'd have all these inside jokes that only WE would laugh at. And that paper would just get me, you know? Because Hahnemühle paper? Is THAT good.

Also, I should mention the artwork is printed with archival inks that really drench the paper. The result is clear, vibrant, and beautiful.

Next I will sign your print and carefully package it in a protective sleeve with a durable backing, then bid it farewell in a bendproof cardboard mailer."

"I love pin cushions and pretty things around me when I sew which is the reason I created this sweet shabby pin cushion. I have used four different fabrics in this one. I hand made the rose on top with rick rack trim and the leaves are made from felted wool felt. I then embroidered pale pink rosebuds all the way around, so cute!! I then added a sweet white and pink trim and four satin pink ribbon bows around the edge for the final touch. The bottom is in a darling pale pink rosebud ticking fabric. The matching pins are included for you! :) These pin cushions are small but take lots of time to make, they include a lot of hand sewing but I think the end results are worth all the time....I hope that you enjoy them. I have made a gift box to match your pin cushion. I used designer paper and the art of origami (paper folding) to make the gift box. This pin cushion and box set look great in a shabby or cottage style setting. You can use these pin cushions for hat pins and any pin that you might wear, they are not just for ladies that sew.
